McClintock Saddle Works, creators of fine custom saddles & accessories, is located in Descanso, Ca., a mountain village approx. 50 miles east of San Diego. (2 miles north of I-8, adjacent to Cuyamaca Rancho State Park.)
We specialize in custom western saddles, from light endurance to heavy stock saddles. All of the saddles pictured in our catalog are a sample of the quality and variety of work we do. We are not limited to what is shown. There are many ways to build a saddle, and we will build one to your specifications.
All our saddles offer maximum comfort for both horse and rider, and allow ultimate performance under stressful conditions. We build them to last, from only the finest materials available. The trees are wood and covered with bullhide, heat dried and shellacked. The leather is Hermann Oak saddle skirting, 100 day oak tanned, prime number one sides. Solid brass or stainless steel hardware and genuine oak tanned sheepskins go into each of our creations.
We are very proud of the work we do. Each saddle is a labor of love directed especially to our customer. We hope you enjoy useing it as much as we enjoyed making it. We do hope that if you are ever in our area, you will come by for a visit.
