Our trail saddles are designed for riders who spend many hours in the saddle. They are lighter weight than most saddles of equal quality, and allow the rider to "saddle up" with much less effort. They weigh from 21 to 26 pounds, depending on the style and the size of the seat you may desire.These saddles are built with the same quality as our larger and heavier ones. However, to make them light, we use less material in the areas where we can. The small round skirts measure 12" by 24". A small square skirt is also available. We make this saddle from one side of saddleskirting and a half piece of sheepskin, which explains the difference in price. These also have rawhide covered trees.We hope you can appreciate our efforts to bring you an affordable and light weight saddle that is not only practical and beautiful, but built to last a lifetime.
